Hi Folks,
There were 10 enthusiastic#participants for todayââ¬â¢s Exchange club
meeting.
Weather getting a little better, but not as warm as they say , here in
Dublin 6W anyway.
Cearbhall told us of his progress in learning , how to play Bling tennis.
He made contact with the ball several times, and feels he is learning
quite well.
There was a lot of chat regarding the app, MOOVIT.
Tom, was singing the praises of Bert, who recommended it to him.
Annette downloaded it, and gave us a demonstration of itââ¬â¢s uses.
It sounded very clear, and easy to use. It told her, where the nearest bus
stop to her was, and the time of the next bus.
We learned while listening that she could get at least two buses, the 84x
or the 184, and the journey time to where she would be travelling to, as
well.
The was an option to pay a subscription to stop the annoying
advertisements which interrupt your usage of the app.
We gather that Moovit also gives you train information as well.
Vera who had a lot of bother with her Iphone, , as her screen was black,
but she could answer her calls, but could not get the screen working
properly.
She could not turn off or turn on her phone.
She brought it back to an Apple provider, and it was fixed for around
25ââ¬.
Then it occurred again but as she felt the service from the Apple provider
was very poor, she brought her mobile phone to a shop in Blancherdstown
shopping centre, called PAIR.
Here the service was very good, and she was much happier than her visit to
the Apple store.
Stuart told us of his usage of Apple key change. He opens Google, and he
is asked if he wants to create a password using Apple key change.
This gives him a long list of possible passwords , which he can choose
from, and he is asked if he wants the chosen password to be remembered
automatically.
Stuart has promised to send a step by step guide on how to use this
facility to our list.
This can be useful, as when your using a website, you donââ¬â¢t have to
remember the password, as Apple key change will do this for you.
Paul complained that it is getting more difficult to engage the back
button quickly using his Iphone 13 mini.
Before Paul could do a two finger scrub from the bottom right hand side
of his phone diagonally to the top left hand corner.
This still works sometimes, but often it does not work as well as it once
did.
Cearbhall said that one can do a 4 finger tap and this will bring you to
the latest , for instance whats app message.
