Discussions centred around windows 10
And Bert gave us some tips.
First , Mary was not sure what version of windows she was using,
To find out, press the windows key and type
In the search box winver, and press enter,
The answer will appear and tell you the correct version that you have on
your desktop or laptop.
Also open Google and type in the search box, search everything, and press
enter,
And this will tell you all the folders and files that you have on your
Laptop.
Plus type in shell: appsfolders and it will also give you some very quick
information on your files and folders.
Annette was not sure how to use www.rip.ie, and
How to search for funeral information.
Bert suggested going to safari and then going to tabs,
When you find the tabb (rip.ie) click on this this and then arrow right
until
You hear home screen, and click here,
And you can have a stand alone app, which you can search by city/county.
Much work and help on using windows 10 was given by Michael /Cearbhall
And personally I learned a lot about windows 10 which I don't have at the
moment.
It was a change from discussing smart phones, a kind of old school pc
meeting.
Bert told us again about using alexa echo dot remotely to switch on and off
his home lights,
From getting the right plug and configuring your phone to allow this
home robot device to function.
