Michael began with a discussion on the appliance,
RIVO 2, which is a small device which one can pair to their smart phone, and
one can use the device ( the size of a bank card), to
Send text messages, make phone calls and generally control and access their
smart phones.
Bert has this device and demonstrated by sending Paul a text message, and
Also accessed Siri , and asked Siri to turn on his Christmas lights on his tree
, some 6 km from city centre.
Amazing Bert as usual, and he also showed us another device (TILE), which
is a key ring , where one can press a button ,
And it will call your smart phone , if lost, and
Help you find your mobile.
I think that Bert is still working for the KGB !
There was a discussion on service providers monthly fees, like Vodafone and
EIR (40â¬
BUT Bert has a deal from Virgin Media (25â¬
To any land line or mobile network in the Republic of Ireland.
Declan also mentioned a website called
www.gomo.ie
which he thinks is offering a great deal for around 10⬠per month.
Eamon was having trouble in texting and creating a new note,
He gets a message saying moving insertion point.
Bert thinks that perhaps he has predicted text enabled , and he should go to
his settings, general keyboards, and turn off predicted texting.
Mary has lost all her old E- Mails, and can only see her latest mails, .
She performed a reset on her new iPhone,
And Paul thought this might have brought her back to a much older problem.
She is going to do what she originally did to get all her mails,
And see if this works again.
