In attendance, Ken Walsh, Jackie Mcbrearty, Chris Egan, Cearbhall OMeadhra,
Noreen Meagher, Stuart Haxell, Paul Griffith.
Paul purchase a new telly, he bought a 40inch JVC smart TV. It has google
assist and youtube. Paul is also getting a 365 virgin box, he is looking
forward to playing around with both of them. he's said he'll report back on
all features of the TV and box.
Chris and Paul were discussing casting stuff to the TV. Chris said his son
set him up and Paul will also report back to us on his progress.
Stuart was telling Paul about netflicks. There is different prices depending
on what payment plan you want.
Jackie told us about her experience with the DPD Parcel Wizard app, she was
awaiting a delivery of dog food that had gone missing, When she clicked on
the parcel wizard link to track her package nothing came up. When she
contacted DPD they also couldn't find it with the tracking number. So she
decided to download the app. When the app was downloaded there was a bit of
registration involved but it was fully accessible When she got into the app
it didn't look promising as all buttons were dimmed However, these buttons
still worked by double tapping on them and Jackie was able to keep track on
her order.

Paul asked Jackie for an update on the bank of Ireland app. Jackie's update
there was no update but she will continue keeping people posted on any.
Ken told us how his iPhone 11 charging cable wouldn't fit in the USB sockets
and plugs he has. we all thought the new cables were USC the older USB cables
will still work on charging the devices.
Cearbhall was asking about Electric Ireland pay as you go meters. They are
not accessible as he was told about entering 20 digit and 60 digit codes.
Electric Ireland appear to have a company called payzone handling prepaid
customers. There app is accessible to a point but you have to get passed the
welcome screen when the app is first downloaded, this was according to Jackie
who downloaded the app and contacted electric Ireland with feedback.
Jackie was telling us about a bug on IOS15. When entering digits in the
likes of the log in screen on a banking app and if you have screen curtain
on, the screen curtain flashes off when you put in the numbers. Ken tested
this during the club and the same thing happened to him. Stuart suggested to
darken the screen instead of having screen curtain on. Jackie has reported
this to apple accessibility.
Paul was unhappy about Siri he hasn't updated yet to IOS15 This morning
noticed that he's only getting a few words at a time. Paul did try it on the
group but it worked perfectly. We all thought it was connection issues.
Jackie reported how Siri will no longer send emails. A few people tried it
but had no success. Cearbhall researched it and apple is working on it. So
hopefully this will be fixed on a future update.
