I read your minutes every week and want to compliment you on the great work
you are doing.
Just a quick observation on the notes and reminder apps I no longer have a
computer so I have to use my iPhone for everything. This means a lot of
documents that I generally have to write. Also it means Using dictate a lot.
If I had a slightly longer email than usual to send I used to dictate it into
the Notes app and send it directly. But since iOS 13 for some reason the notes
app seems to create a lot of What it calls attachments. I do not know what they
are as I am not a touching anything to my message in the Notes app.
So I now use the Pages app (which is equivalent to word) for short documents as
well as long documents (which I only used it for previously).
I use the Calendar app using Siri every day. I schedule events and because I
have it hooked up to my wife’s calendar they pop up straight away on her
calendar also and vice versa. So she always knows what I’m up to! I tried the
Reminders app but never found it very useful. I heard someone speaking about
time management saying “if it is not in my calendar it does not exist “. So,
like Jackie I now use my Calendar app also for reminders.

Chris and Ken seemed to be having trouble when they were trying to save a
note on their iPads with the pages app. It seems like when the note is saved
on the iCloud.

transferring from the iPad to the iPhone. Chris checked all the settings on
his iPad and from what the group could gather everything seemed fine.
Cearbhall is going to investigate this matter more.
Derry wanted to find out on how to use the Notes app on his iPhone. Cearbhall
told Derry on how to do this using Siri.
A discussion was had on the many different phone providers and packages.
Martha informed the group her employers are purchasing windows 10 and
hopefully Jaws 2020.
Cearbhall led a brief discussion on the app Glew.
The topic of the upcoming voting came up and what the template might be like.
Derry wanted to find out on how to search his emails on his iPhone to try and
find an invoice. Ken helped him with this.
Jackie gave the group an update following on from last weeks meeting. she has
successfully created events on the calendar app and no longer uses the
reminder app.
The next meeting is on The 1st of February at 11 am.
