In attendance, 11 participants.

Apologies received.

Martin wanted to find out why Gmail  is removing its `basic HTML version. The group  spoke about Gmail  HTML and standard view. The shortcuts used in the HTML version will work on the standard view. This won't affect people who are using an email client for checking their emails.

Adrian has posted an article  to the list regarding this.

Here is another link for anyone that is interested.

Anne-Marie was asking how accessible google Chrome is for searching  using NVDA. Cearbhall said it works quite well with NVDA.

Jackie  spoke about a strange bluetooth issue that she could only pair her apple magic bluetooth keyboard and that it wouldn't reconnect to her phone. Jackie had to connect  them again after the keyboard displayed unusual behaviour. When she tried to repair it wouldn't show up. In the end she removed two braille devices. After she reconnected the magic keyboard she was able to pair the braille devices again.

This started a conversation about connecting other bluetooth devices like earphones and keyboards.

Tom mentioned that his battery life on his after shokz wasn’t lasting as long as before.

This led to Anne-Marie asking for a brief description of the after shokz. Cearbhall and several members giving a brief description.

Cearbhall received an image file. He asked how to share it with the likes of voiceDream or Be my AI. We all said to share with what ever you want.once this is done it will open in what ever you are sharing it with

We all started talking about voice dream reader and scanner. Then the group spoke about other scanning apps and scanners that are available on the computers.

Jackie said she got her orbit 20+ updated. Then Jackie and Cearbhall started talking about grade2 Braille. This was interesting.

Anne-Marie spoke about teams what  She is liking and not liking on teams. Anne-Marie  said she prefers teams on the iPad seems the laptop is much less accessible.

Cearbhall said try pressing either F2 or FN and F2 to rename a file. This is a windows method. So it may not work on teams.

This started a conversation on the accessibility of teams and the difficulties of joining different meetings.

The group  spoke about the verious voiceover voices.

Kamil  was asking about braille displays. Cearbhall told him all about different braille devices he could use for his course on coding. There was many different suggestions given. The Orbit 40 and the Focus40. Kamil will investigate it further.

Martin and Tom  wanted to know did anyone go to the site and sound Roadshow in Dublin. Adrian was there and had a look at the InvisionAI glasses  and several magnification devices.

Kamil wanted to know has anyone ordered the Apple Pro headset. None of the group had ordered this device.

Here is a link explaining what they are.

Stuart wanted to know has anyone used the seeing AI feature in seeing AI yet. He much prefers be my AI.

The meeting ended.

Ken
