The group welcomed Aisling a New member to the club.
Aisling told The lads that she uses narrator as a screen reader at work.
Cearbhall and Derry recommended she should give N.V.D.A. go.
Aisling uses a Android phone. She can manage without using talk back at the
moment.
This led onto Ken showing Aisling how he checks his emails using voice over.
Aisling was having trouble turning talk back off on her phone. Cearbhall told
her a quick way to do this.
The group asked Aisling what kind of work she was involved in and how she
manages using a computer.
This led onto Chris sharing with Aisling what line of work he is involved in.
Cearbhall gave Chris and Aisling different links to sign up to the various
mailing lists.
Chris was reading this morning before the meeting about the different iPhones
that are coming out soon. He’s thinking about making a purchase.
Aisling was very impressed with the lads experience and will return next
week.
Derry invited Cearbhall and Chris to join him one Saturday after the Cork
meeting in the Long valley for a pint or two.
The next meeting is on Saturday the 22nd of September at 11am.
