In attendance Derry Walsh, Ken Walsh, Martha Parkinson, what’s app participants
Pat Walsh, Noreen Meagher, Jackie McBrearty and Cearbhall O Meadhra on the
landline.
Ken informed the group he has switched his home Internet package to a company
called Digi Web. It’s much cheaper and faster download speeds than the last
provider he was with.
Jackie Gave A brief description of her google mini. With this device she can
check bus times, what time shops open and close, control her electric blanket
and so on.
Martha told the group about an app called simple radio.
Ken informed the group his contract on his mobile phone is coming to an end in
the next month. he is switching from Vodafone to virgin Media.
Jackie wanted to find out on how to connect her laptop to the Internet. Ken
advised her what to try.
Cearbhall wanted help with deleting multiple emails in one go on his iPhone.
Ken gave him a brief description on how to delete them.
Cearbhall seemed to be having trouble when replying to an email. He seemed to
be at the end of the reply instead of the top of the email. Ken and a few
members told him on what he should try.
Martha seemed to be having issues with Voiceover freezing on her Iphone since
she did the latest update. Several members experienced similar experiences.
Noreen seemed to be having an issue with voice-over reading out punctuations on
her iPhone since she did the latest update. Thankfully this was resolved with
help from a few members of the mailing list last night.
The next meeting is on Saturday, the 23rd of November at 11 am.
