On be half of the group we extend our sympathies to Derry on the passing of
his retired guide dog Packo.
Jackie told The group about her Brail Light Pen. This is a brail Bluetooth
keyboard.
Dominique purchased the iPhone SE 2020 memory 128 gig.
Dominique cant seem to get the voice Arthur on her Apple Watch. Pat
recommended contacting Apple accessibility. Ken gave another recommendation
to do a reset on her watch.
Derry has downloaded the app called Scriptd. You can download books on this
app. Pat told us about book share a similar app.
Dominique Informed the group she listened to this years apples Keynote event.
Gavin wanted to know on how to set up points of interest along a route using
blind Square. Cearbhall explained to him on how to do this.
Several members of the group wanted to find out how to access the control and
notification centre on their iPhones and iPads. All so on how to access The
app switcher without using the home button. Ken and hris explored this on
their iPads.
Noreen wanted to find out does Ken and Martha still use their laptops anymore
now that they both have IPads. Ken uses his for lengthy emails. Martha uses
hers for organising quizzes.
Noreen asked was there a new iPhone coming out this year. Jackie informed her
there will be an iPhone 12 and several different models coming out this
autumn.
Cearbhall when trying to return an audiobook on audible seemed to be having
trouble returning the book. Before he was allowed to return the book. he
needed to update his card details. After updating his details he didn’t seem
to get any notification to say he was successful. Until he got out of his
account and went back in again. Then he could return his book successfully
