Once the cane is in reasonable condition then it can be used - it doesn't
really matter if the finish is chipped. If you bring the canes into Ely Place
I'll collect them.

I have some old canes but the chord inside is slack. Can these be used? Can I
get hold of a replacement chord and refit it myself? If the white surface is
tarnished, can the cane be used?
