The reason for setting up an account is to provide a cloud archive of your
settings and POI data, etc. There is no implication of this being used
improperly by the App developers.

This is a really interesting app. I think it gives me mor information than
any of the others.
A feature that I like is the ease of focussing on my exact address. The app
showed me a nearby house by default but when I went into settings it said
that no location was set. So, I just typed in my post code in the address
field and my correct address came up and is now stored as my primary
location.
I then ran a route exploration from my desk to find the DART station.
It mapped this out and the pedestrian instructions are clear. A bit strange
near the DART station but that might change when I actually walk the route.
On the whole, I give this app full thumbs up and thank you for telling us
about it.

GoodMaps Outdoors is a fully accessible turn-by-turn GPS app for iPhone. It
has all the outdoor navigation features you expect plus unique offerings you

Features • Four main tabs are easy to access at the bottom of the screen:
Routes, Location (Default), POIs and Settings. • A unique GoodMaps
