Subject: REMINDER: Fighting Blindness Groups Christmas Gathering: 16/12/21:
Hello,
You're receiving this email as one of our group participants. Unfortunately,
despite all of our hopes and ambitions for the possibility of an in-person
gathering for Christmas, sadly yet again it is not to be.
Nonetheless, we thought it might be nice to try and replicate what we did
last year - which we got some great feedback on. As before, we hope to meet
on Zoom for some way of collectively celebrating Christmas, reflecting on the
last year and honouring old friendships and acquaintances maintained and the
new ones made.
We are going to host a 2 hour gathering on Zoom on Thursday December 16th
from 6.45 to 8.45pm. Myself and Declan will be trying our best to host
again. We'll all gather together in the "Main Hall" initially and then we
will try a number of "break-out rooms" available like last year:
The Snow Globe. We'll shake it all up and randomly reallocate the rooms so
everyone gets a chance to mix it up and meet with a random selection of
people before we all go back to the main hall and pick the rooms we wish to
move to.
The Quiet Lounge: For general and relaxed chat.
The Back Bar: For Christmas Storytelling. People can share their best
Christmas memories, share a folk tale, reflect on their favourite Christmas
movie etc.
Under the Tree: For some carol singing and for anyone who cares to bring
along an instrument to play etc. You did a great job of this last year!
Feel free to bring along your Christmas beverage of choice. We'd also
welcome any suggestions you may have for any specific activity you think
