We'll take all this onboard as the feedback is invaluable for when we =
get to start looking at the new range of audio products.

RTE.ie's new website radio player will have some important accessibility =
and labelling improvements and we've already taken onboard some feedback =
from users regarding the Jaws and Voiceover tools.=20

In the meantime before the web or apps are upgraded, what we have found =
is that some users who have had issues with the apps have preferred to =
bookmark some specific web URLs. I've listed them below so you may like =
to share them with the user so they can see which may suit their needs.

RTE are actually working on an overhaul of the Radio Player App at the =
moment so I cannot guarantee an immediate change but the most important =
thing is that they are made aware of this before the new version is put =
in place and I will make it my business to bring this to their =
attention.=20

Dominique I will be happy to pass that along for you. We actually have a =
Diversity and Inclusion Manager in RT=C3=89 who is always eager to hear =
about stuff like that because his job is not only to make sure we are =
being inclusive within the work place but also in how we provide our =

Amanda would you mind please possibly sharing the following with the App =
Developer of the RTE Radio Player App. I e-mailed RTE ages ago about =
this.

I use VoiceOver on my iPhone SE with the latest iOS but because =
I=E2=80=99m blind, I have great difficulty changing the radio stations =
because they=E2=80=99re not labelled, so I=E2=80=99ve to turn off =
VoiceOver after I hear the word, =E2=80=9CBUTTON=E2=80=9D and then try =
to remember in what sequence the icon is for RTE Gold, if I=E2=80=99m =
listening to Radio 1, incidentally I only change over to Radio 1 to =
listen to Will on Sunday, otherwise I wouldn=E2=80=99t!, and after =
finding Radio 1, after listening to Will, then I=E2=80=99ve to remember =
again where Gold is located. This is very frustrating for me. RTE said =
to me that all the icons are in different colours, but that is of no use =
to me when I can=E2=80=99t see them! So if all the stations were =
labelled to reflect the station=E2=80=99s icon, that would be so =
beneficial to me, and would enable me to be independent in changing the =
stations myself, without having to rely on sighted assistance after =
VoiceOver is turned off. The word, =E2=80=9CBUTTON=E2=80=9D needs to be =
labelled also so I know what that =E2=80=9DBUTTON=E2=80=9D is.=20
=20
VoiceOver, like Jaws, on my computer converts text to speech and =
therefore reads out what=E2=80=99s on screen, and is the same for =
graphics also.
