Please see the invitation below from Sight and Sound technologies with the
compliments of our own Peter OâToole.
Sight & Sound is currently working on a campaign in association with
Freedomtech to change how VAT (Value Added Tax) is applied to the technology
needed by people with disabilities.
At the moment, individuals pay VAT when buying assistive technology and can
then claim for a refund. We believe that assistive technology products should
be exempt from VAT.
We would like to seek your views and experiences of buying assistive technology
and whether you have applied for and received a refund of VAT.
The survey is anonymous and will take between 5-10 minutes to complete. We
really appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey and value your
