Subject: Re: [blindphones] Facetime group audio call iOS
Did you do this recently, as in the last day? If so, apple has temporarily
suspended the merge function due to a bug that allows people to listen to the
other line before they accept the call. this was discussed on this and other
lists yesterday.

Hi,--
We have a group of six or seven visually impaired people using Voiceover who
get together for a regular techy discussion once a week. We tried to set up a
group phone call using Facetime audio, but when we made a call to each
participant we found that the merge option was dimmed out. We were able to
switch from person to person by putting each on hold before switching to the
next person.
Obviously, this was not the intention of a Facetime group. Has anyone any
ideas to explain what we should do to create a successful Facetime Group?
Please don't suggest using Whatsapp instead! We do know that that is an
option but we would like to resolve this IOS issue if we can!
