Hey all.
I've just rang apple Ireland and I baffled the poor girl. no it does not
look like facetime group calls are available here as yet. The girl could not
find which regions do not have group calling. however, she attempted a group
call on her own iPhone and she added one person and when she added a second
person the first person was dimmed out.
The apple woman was surprised at the lack of information on it.

Jackie and I tried to get the group Facetime audio going on our
iPhones today and the merge button is still greyed out.
Jackie had a good suggestion that maybe the service is blocked in our
jurisdiction. I did a quick Google search but I could neither confirm
nor deny this. However, it does look like a strong possibility!
If anyone else could find out whether the Facetime group call is
available on Irish networks, could you let the fb-exchange list know,
part.
Meanwhile, Ken and Derry, I will leave the test run for a later time
when we know if the service is available. Thanks for offering to take
right.

I would like to carry out a test to see how well facetime audio works
as a group conversation.

I'd like to have at least six participants.
I could manage tomorrow afternoon at, say, 3.30 pm. We need only spend
a few minutes on the call so you could expect to set aside about 30
