Hi.
The minutes of the Dublin meeting from September included a query regarding
finding a file when the name has been forgotten.
Perhaps members may find the below useful. Also, I have found the
Everything app recommended by John Acton in a email to this group on April
15th this year to be also handy but it only works with file names.
. Find your files in Windows 10 using one of these methods.
. Search from the taskbar: Type the name of a document (or a keyword
from it) into the search box on the taskbar. You'll see results for
documents across your PC and OneDrive under Best match.

. Search File Explorer: Open File Explorer from the taskbar or
right-click on the Start Windows logo Start button menu, and choose File
Explorer, then select a location from the left pane to search or browse. For
example, select This PC to look in all devices and drives on your computer,
or select Documents to look only for files stored there.
. To add an icon for This PC to your desktop: Select Start Windows
logo Start button > Settings Gear-shaped Settings icon > Personalization >
Themes. Under Related Settings, select Desktop icon settings. In the pop-up
window, select the check box next to Computer, then select Apply > OK.
