double tap that, and swipe to RESET HOME SCREEN LAYOUT.

I have iPhone 8 and iOS 16.4.1 but unless I've missed it it's not in general.
There is however a reset phone option which I wouldn't touch except in an
emergency.
Perhaps the latest phones have the facility you write os.

Hi eamon. New downloaded apps go into the app library by default.
They appear in the recently added section. To get apps to appear on
your homescreen as well go to settings scroll down to homescreen, and
select add to homescreen.

Hi folks, for some time now, when I download an app, it doesn't
appear on my home screens. I have to search for it in my library, or use
Siri to find it.
Where are downloaded apps meant to appear? I have three screens of
apps, but not all screens are full. I would expect to find the
latest downloaded app, just to the right of the previously downloaded one;
but this is not the case!
