I had a similar problem, try the following.
Control, Alt and the letter j. You could also try use windows then the letter
j and enter, this one worked for me.I had to go into JAWS settings to switch on
run JAWS on start up do the following. Go to JAWS using the key combination
insert key with the letter j,then press the letter h, then the letter b,for
basic,tab to all users and select this.I got help from NCBI tech support and it
was sorted.

A small problem with an upgrade to Jaws 2023.
Last week I upgraded my jaws and now I'm sitting with a challenge.
When I enter into Word it speaks "document 1".
Thereafter no matter what keyboard key I press there is no speech.
If I press alt f4 the speech asks if I want to save the document or not?
Do you possibly know what I can do to get the speech up and running as per
normal configuration?
