Sky users warned to upgrade free TV service NOW before existing app closes down.

A POPULAR Sky TV app is being retired next week and users are being urged to
switch.
The Sky+ app has been going since 2009 but the broadcaster is winding it down
at the end of May.
Sky+ app lets you download content to your TV and use it as a remoteCredit:
SkyAn alert now appears in the app, telling Sky customers they should download
and use the Sky Go app instead.
The firm has already removed the service from the Google Play Store and Apple
App Store.
Viewers can continue using the Sky+ app after the cut-off date but Sky will no
longer provide any updates.
Some features have already been shutdown, such as Channel Favourites.
From May 30, the top rail of the app will no longer display the latest content
from Sky but you can still browse for content via search.
Send to TV and app remote control tools will continue to function unofficially
for the foreseeable future.
But if it breaks Sky won't fix it.
The decision hasn't gone down well with fans.
"Its probably the best app on my phone and in daily use," one annoyed viewer
said.
"Leave it alone please."
Another added: "I'm severely disabled and I need this app to control my sky as
my hands are useless when it comes to using a remote control.
"I am stuck in my house, seven days a week most weeks and I rely on sky+ app."
