Thanks for sending this. I would be very interested in a vibrate only timer.
I use the Timer a lot with SIRI and I find it very useful. A vibrate only
Timer would be ideal for use in meetings to let me know when I need to
depart discreetly!
I wonder has anyone succeeded in enabling the vibrate only feature with the
Timer as described on the podcast? I notice on the podcast that you need to
purchase a silent tone from iTunes in order for this to work. I tried to do
this but could not find the recommended tone when I searched the iTunes
store. I think it might be possible to create a custom tone myself but have
not done this as yet. It may be possible to record a silent message with
Voice Memo and to convert this to a tone with GarageBand. From a quick look
at GarageBand, it doesn't seem easy to operate with VoiceOver though.
There is another approach, to download a separate app such as VibAlarm. I
have downloaded and tested vibAlarmand it seems to work well with VoiceOver,
but I don't think it can interact with SIRI.
So my question is, does anyone know if it is possible to set vibrate-only
timers using SIRI?
