Cearbhall,

I got the green paper on disability reform open with NVDA by copying the link to my browser and hitting on the enter button on my laptop

Ann Marie should you have further bother with this I can send you the doc and hopefully that it won't be too, too long.

Ann Marie,

I notice you have not said what device or operating system you are using to access the web. I am using NVDA on Windows 10 and my browser is Firefox.

Here is a link to the Green Paper:

There are several different forms of the Green Paper. The first is a straightforward .pDF document which I downloaded and can read with Adobe or with Fox reader. My screen reader vocalises all the text and reads the alt text describing any images present.

The “Screen Reader Friendly” version is simply a Microsoft Word document and you should be able to read it if you have Ms. Word on your system.

To download the paper you should check and see that it is defined as a link by your screen reader first. Press on the link .Most browsers drop such a file directly into your download folder on a Windows PC.

You can switch to the download folder to make sure that the file has been downloaded.

If it is present, simply press enter and the file should open in the appropriate program.

If you let me know what happens after you hit enter on the downloaded file, I will be able to guide you into reading it.

I have found both the startd .PDF version and the .docx version to be perfectly readable.

*Subject:* [fb-exchange] How to get an audible green paper

Hi guys,

I’ve been here the advertisements over the past few weeks but went onto the gov website today . There is an I SL video on the page explaining what is contained in the paper and a version that claims to be accessible to the screen reader. But when I click on the screen reader version it just isn’t opening it. Anybody know where I can get an audible version or how I can download the screen reader version so that I know what they’re going to do to our payments?

Also going to have to send them in some videos to make sure they know what we think. Any tips and advice gratefully accepted

Enjoy your weekend
