Sorry for the delay in responding.
I am a NVDA user. I found an NVDA add-on , NVDA Sound Manager, and have
installed it. This provides more or less the same functionality as the approach
I described below, but with fewer keystrokes. Looks good but I need to try it
in a real meeting to be sure. This gives the same audio in each ear, but allows
you to independently vary the volume of sound from different applications.

I’m not aware of any better solution than the one you came up with.
However I believe I heard about a new feature coming to either Windows 11 or to
Jaws 2022, which will allow you to have system audio in one ear and Jaws speech
in the other ear. If so, that could be helpful when it comes. Hopefully I
haven’t just imagined that and someone can clarify, lol.
