Hi Guyz,
I contacted RTÃ for a list of movies they will be showing this Christmas
with Audio Description as there A D page is not showing any additional
content.

I was also confirming their Continuity Announcers would announce the
availability of movies with audio A D as they have not done so in the past.
While searching for the RTÃ A D page, I noticed RTÃ seem to be testing a
hub with audio described programming like the BBC have.
Last night, I got it to work for an episode of Eastenders from last week
but cannot seem to get it to work today.

In the RTÃ player app on the iphone, if you swipe from left to right 35
times, you will get to Audio Description and when you double click, you
will get a list of programming with audio description.
The programs I have tried only play with the normal audio for me but maybe
I am doing something wrong.
Also, Virgin Media One will be obliged to broadcast programming with audio
description from January 2020.
I would assume it will be Emmerdale, Coronation Street etc but when I hear
back from them, I will let you know.
I also asked them will be their Continuity announcer be promoting the
availability of audio description before programs like RTÃ do.

Anyway here is the reply I received from RTÃ regarding addition programming
they will be broadcasting with audio described content this Christmas.

In addition to our regular AD programmes, the following will also have AD:
24th December.
RTÃ One at 19:20 Angela's Christmas.
RTÃ2 at 18:20 Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
25th December.
RTÃ2 at 09:55 Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.
29th December.
RTÃ2 at 21:00 The Young Offenders.
30th December.
RTÃ2 21:00 The Young Offenders.
31st December.
RTÃ2 at 18:25 Mrs. Doubtfire.
Continuity will announce the availability of AD.
For RTÃjr, all programmes with AD are preceeded by an animated ident with a
child's voice announcing AD.
