My name is Dean, and I am a Masters's student at TU Dublin studying User
Experience Design. I have started work on my thesis, a project that looks at
how visually impaired individuals experience video streaming services. I am
hoping to uncover some pain points that these users have and design a
potential solution for them. I am hoping that this project will provide me
with a platform to start a career designing software for the visually
impaired.
I'm currently working on some high-level research through a survey. I need
the help of some visually impaired individuals to answer 10 short questions
for me.
I wanted to send an email to ask if you knew the best way for me to get in
touch with some people that could help, or if you yourself knew of any
people to forward the survey to.
I will attach the link to the survey here, just in case you know anyone or a
group that would be able to take the survey for me. I have built it in
Microsoft Forms which is a visually accessible platform and I have
structured the questions so that they will be as easy as possible for a
screen reader to parse. Obviously, there will be many that can not take the
survey in its visual form, and I would be happy to call or video chat with
anyone that wanted to help out.
