Hi
I had a look at how the equivalent of starring emails in gmail works on the
iphone. As we found out at the meeting this morning Apple call this flag
rather than star. So if you have important emails to deal with or you want
to filter them in a folder to find it easily later the things to do are
iphone users as I understand are
1. Tap on email you want to read or find later
2. Go to edit on top right and find flag
3. Double Tap flag
4. Go to the flagged folder which is below all inboxes on the middle left.
You should find your flagged email there.
5. When you finish with that email you can unflag it by going to the email
and to the edit and then undo the flag or unflag.

John reported that "starring" messages is a very useful feature in android
for deferring unread messages to a separate folder for later reading.
The group tried to find the equivalent in IOS and found "Marked" and
"Flagged" as possible equivalent tools.
Annette wanted guidance on the use of Notes in the IPhone. Mary
demonstrated
how to use Siri to write notes. She pointed out that it was essential to
set
up a folder for Siri to write notes in.
Dominique wanted to know how to make changes to information held in the new
"Health app. " in IOS. The group agreed to research this further as we
could
not find the answers during the session.
John mentioned his occasional messages to the list on items that he
thought
might be of interest to IOS and Android users alike. The group welcomed his
action and asked him to keep it up.
Marion asked for information about the use of facetime. Annette reported
that it was a very clear communications method especially with people in
far
away places and demonstrated how to use it.
There will be no meeting on Easter Monday as it is a Bank Holiday.
