perhaps I'm a bit naive but one could make that call from Ireland a
brief one if you want?
I generally leave data turned off and when I make a call unless I'm
using facetime or say WhatsApp my topup would be deducted accordingly.
Trust I've got that correct.
Perhaps when the world cup ends then many of us will not find the need
for all of this, time will tell I guess.

I find it really nice that if my wife wants to watch a match alongside

Do you happen to know how long a UK sim would last without using it?
I think Irish sims may have a life unused of about a year but I'm not sure.
DV we are in the UK for a trip early in the new year and could of course
pick one up.

Vodafone Ireland and then using my UK Sim I had no problem with radio five

Since, the beginning of the Football World Cup in Qatar, I have
managed to find ball by ball commentary on 'BBC Sounds', BBC 5 live
and of course, the popular 'Talk Sport'.
However, due to rights restrictions due to territory or country these
'Radio'
commentaries are down.
So for us 'Radiophiles' and especially for a blind person, do we in
Ireland, have a useful 'Radio' service which may pick up on this dilemma.
Obviously, I use my 'Victor Stream Reader for most of my
entertainment and would so like to see something come up in this vein?
