On Tuesday 27th July we will be holding our 50th Live Event at 2:30pm.
As the next step on the journey to enabling a more accessible Ireland for
all, Microsoft Ireland has announced the availability of Soundscape as of
next Tuesday 27th July. NCBI are thrilled to partner with Microsoft for the
launch and will celebrate their 50th Labs Live Event with a special edition
of Microsoft Soundscape. The Live Event this week will include special
guests from the Microsoft Soundscape Team, NCBI service user Michael Leahy,
NCBI Tech Trainers and the National Access & Mobility Manager Chantelle
Smith. Each will bring a unique perspective of the benefits of the
Soundscape app and how it can empower people who are blind or vision
impaired to independently navigate the world around them with confidence,
and were thrilled that its finally available in Ireland.
Also on the show this week we will be finding out about Sight Tech Global
2021, an event about AI and the future of accessibility for people who are
blind or vision impaired. The virtual event takes place this year from
December 1st -2nd and is free to the public. To find out more about whats
in store we will be joined by Ned Desmond, the founder and executive
producer of Sight Tech Global.
