Hi all.
Now that the covid app is closing down, thanks for the reminder Dominique, I
thought I would put a copy of my certificate into my mobile wallet for
future reference. I don't seem to be able to do it and remember also having
difficulties with this in the past.
Is it possible to do this, and, if so, does anyone know how to do it, taking
the cert from the HSE notification email or alternatively, copying from the
covid app, which I suspect is not possible?
Any help appreciated

Subject: [fb-exchange] The COVID Tracker app is closing down.
The COVID Tracker app was a digital contact tracing mobile app by the Irish
Government and the Health Service Executive (HSE). It was released on 7 July
2020 to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Ireland.
The app is no longer needed because of:
the success of the COVID-19 vaccination programme
ï
access to treatment for people at highest risk from the virus
ï
high levels of COVID-19 immunity in the population
We will use the knowledge, technology and lessons learnt from the app to
help respond to future pandemic threats and inform how we provide digital
services in the future. As we are committed to under the Data Protection
Impact Assessment we are closing down the app, deleting the limited amount
of data that was stored centrally and winding down the technology that the
app was built on.
From Friday, 30 June 2023 the app will no longer be available to download
from the App Store and Play Store. Contact tracing will be turned off and
statistics will no longer be updated. You can continue to use the app to
carry your COVID certificate. The app will be switched off completely at the
start of August this year.
