I bought mine directly from Blazie Engineering so it was much cheaper. The UK
quickly adopted the role of reseller and then it was sold at your price.

Cearbhall, I had one and is cost £1200 as I recall. at the time it was
purchased for me through the open University which would've been the mid to
late 1980s. it was absolutely fantastic, and so portable I absolutely loved it.
then I progressed on to the Braille Lite. much more chunky but again fantastic
piece of equipment.
