Just sharing these tips that you may find useful, and that you may not be
aware of.
When invoking Alexa she displays a coloured ring to indicate she's
listening, but you can vocally ask her to turn on a sound tone before and
after a request, and you'll then know she's heard you. To do this:
Just say, "ALEXA, TURN ON SOUND BEFORE REQUEST" & "ALEXA, TURN ON SOUND
AFTER REQUEST".
And to turn it off just say, "ALEXA, TURN OFF SOUND BEFORE REQUEST". &
"ALEXA, TURN OFF SOUND AFTER REQUEST".
You can control Alexa from the Website as well as the Alexa App at:
www.alexa.amazon.com <http://www.alexa.amazon.com>
By default Microsoft have the Windows start-up sound turned off on a
computer, so to know that it's coming on, do the following:
Press Windows key and type in start up sound and you'll be presented with
individual sounds to choose from and enter on the one you want and tab to,
"OK or APPLY".
And the next time you turn on your device it will include the start-up
sound.
