Subject: [fb-exchange] Today's Meeting
Present: Annette McCarthy, Marian Brennan, John Chambers and Michael Lavin.
There was a lively discussion on the various mobile providers and their
offerings. The concensus was that a plan of all texts, mobile and landline
calls in the state as well as time limited overseas calls for €25 was probably
as good as it gets.
Marian demonstrated searching the borrowbox app.
Michael showed Annette how to block unsolicited calls: under recent phone
calls, flick to the information button to the right of the unsolicited call and
double tap; this opens up a window and if you scroll down to the bottom of this
window you will see “Block this caller”; activate this and no future calls will
be received from that number.
John spoke about the RTE Radio 1podcasts. We had a problem downloading the
actual app which has the various podcasts included. Michael has it on his iPad
so was unable to find it on the app store on his iPhone. He will report back at
the next exchange club meeting.
Marian talked about the Jerusalem Bible app.
