Subject: [fb-exchange] Using the Clipboard History
using the clipboard history.
1: To open the Clipboard history tool, press Windows+V in any application
and the Clipboard history panel might appear. If not, arrow through the
options and select Clipboard history on.
Once on, it can hold a list of up to 25 items that you have copied to it.
After 25 items have been stored, it begins removing the oldest as new ones
arrive. The most recent addition will appear at the top of the list.
You can delete each stored item by using the delete key.
2: To add items to the clipboard history, first highlight the word, line,
paragraph or graphic.
3 DIFFERENT HIGHLIGHTING METHODS
A: Highlight a line - Cursor at start of line then Shift+End of line key.
B: Shift+Down arrow through lines of text to select them.
C: CTRL+A to select all of a document.
Once you have selected your text, use the Right Click or Shift+F10 to get a
list of actions to use on your selected text.
Arrow down through the list and select the required Copy action which will
state,
Copy, Copy and put the selection on the clipboard so you can copy it to
somewhere else.
Once you have done that, the selected text item is now stored at the top of
your Clipboard History.
3: Try it out using the line below.
"I like chunky chip marmalade!"
First highlight the above line.
Next, right Click - Shift+F10
Arrow down, then select where it states, storing the text to the Clipboard.
The text should now be sent to the clipboard history.
Extract an item from the Clipboard history
Put your insert cursor at the point where the text is to go.
Now open the clipboard history using Windows+v
Arrow to the desired text and select it by pressing enter.
The item from the clipboard history should now be added into your document.
