Hi
When using an android phone , it may not be possible at first to key in the
options during a call to an automatic phone system like a bank or insurance
company. You will need to activate the keypad and then press the numbers
afterwards. This keypad is located near the bottom beside the end call on
my phone which is a HTC. The keypad location may differ on other makes.
Alternatively, turning on the speaker after calling the bank may activate
this keypad and allow you to select the options. See below the previous
emails from Michael on what to do with the iphone. I copied them to this
email for your information under a more appropriate subject name.

Hi Michael
I tried ringing the bank automatic service using an iphone 5 phone and it
worked fine by just pressing the required number. So I googled to see if
others were having that problem with the phone not working on automatic
voice systems. Sure enough I see a lot of complaints with the iphone 6.
Seemingly pressing the number after the call is made does not work. So
before I delve into what people have written on this, Michael do you have
the iphone 5 or 6? And maybe what iOS version you have as this could be
significant?

Thanks to Pat McCarthy who phoned me last night for resolving the problem.
Basically, after you have dialled the number if you wish to access the
keypad to select an option, locate your fingers near the top of the screen
of the phone (around the position where your ear would touch the screen);
this puts the phone in speaker mode and the keypadwill be available just
under your fingers.
I have now successfully asked Seri to call voicemail and I have been able to
press the endCall button or the 6 button to respond to the caller.
