Thanks everyone for joining the Exchange Club on Monday with Sharon from
Sight and Sound.
Sharon has kindly sent on the following information, I hope this goes through
ok
Sight and Sound Technology can provide general IT equipment as well as
specialised AT equipment.
Our standard laptop is Lenovo V15 G3 with Ryzen 5 5625U processor, 8GB RAM
and 512GB Hard Drive for €555 ex VAT. With an option to go to 16GB RAM for
another €60 ex VAT.
Our recommendation for a good Bluetooth headset that also has an option for
wired connection:

Here are some Webinars that cover new features in JAWS and an overview of the
SensePlayer:

Second:

Third:

Convenient OCR feature in JAWS now has all the following options:
Press JAWS key + Spacebar and then O, then:
• W to read the current window.
• S to read the screen.
• D to read the current PDF.
• R to read an image file and open in Word.
• F to read the selected file.
Please find attached the list of offers that are on until mid August.
Orcam latest version is 9.15. To check the version, double tap the Orcam and
say “Tell the build”.
I investigated the custom charges issue on repairs and we would not put our
customers in that situation where they have to pay custom charges to get a
repair delivered. We are working to do more repairs locally so that costs are
kept down for all.
And, finally, on the Orbit Braille Displays and Graphiti products, these used
to be supplied by NCBI but they had too many issues with them. They are still
available to buy through RNIB.
We would recommend the Focus range of Braille displays from Vispero, see
Braille Displays on our website.
Great to join your club this week, and if you have any further questions,
feel free to contact me.
