Mary is very excited with her newly created shortcut for Siri.
She says Siri turn on short text , and if she has a package which she can't
read, Siri, will read all the text on the package if held in front of the
camera.
She can also create shortcuts for example for identifying paper money , or
colours, though the colours skill is rather problematic.
Search engines, were talked about including one that Eamonn mentioned, ie
www.startpage.com <http://www.startpage.com> .
Eamonn and Bert find this engine very good.
There was discussions on OPEN OFFICE, Office 365, and one that yours truly
never heard of before called Libre.com.
The last one is one that Adrian told us about, it's great to have Adrian at
these meetings, as he has a different slant on all things IT.
During the meeting, Ger received a call purporting to come from the Revolut
people, suggesting that some money had been taken out of his account. Ger is
a wiley customer and after he heard press 1 if this is not you taking out
the money, he promptly hung up.

This is of course another scam, so beware everyone.
VPN network was talked about, this is something that I know little about,
but Bert wanted to know if one installs VPN, does this slow down your Ipod.
?, Adrian says yes it will slow down your speed a little
Bert reminded all of two great websites, www.ninite <http://www.ninite>
.com, which will find all things accessible that you may want to use in one
place.
Like NVDA, and so on. Also 7Zip, a great place to handle your unzipped
files.
That's all folks, sorry if I left out anything as was minding two grand
children for most of the time as well, who says only women can multi task!!
PS. Wishing the Irish rugby union team every good luck for the forthcoming
world cup starting in France this Friday.
