Hi, welcome to the Mediterranean version of the exchange club, its around 23
degrees at present in Dublin.
Those of us who logged on at the earliest time, caught a glimpse of young
Cearbhall.
Flamenca guiter on his back, dressed like Donovan or Bob Dylan, riding
roughshot on a bus travelling to Barcelona.
A young girl sat down beside him and they …
Tune in next week for the next instalment of Cearbhall in Spain.
There were 13 participants for todays meeting.
Albert joined a Braille list and was promptly removed as all his mails were
going to his spam folder.
To correct this problem, one must highlight the offending mails,
And using the application key, arrow up to the junk folder.
Then choose the option this is not junk or never block from this Domain.
Lady W has a problem she has outlook mails on her smart phone.
But one particular mail she cannot read, as voice over wont read it for her.
All her other mails can be read by voice over, but this one will not allow
reading.
Perhaps there is Graphics involved, but it’s a mystery.
Cearbhall suggested asking Siri, to turn off and turn on again voice over,
and as usual Cearbhall was right as this worked.
Most of the meeting was devoted to John, who recently ditched Android and
joined the Milky way, on star Apple.
John bought an Apple standard phone, iPhone 12 from Currys.
He got a bargain paying a little over 700€
And when he claims the vat back from revenue, it should reduce the real
price to a little over 500€.
Welcome to the world of Apple, John.
John has done a lot of work in learning to use his new phone.
He presses a button on the right hand side of his smart phone to engage Siri.
He asks Siri to turn on his voice control, and can ask Siri to show him the
latest Sky headline stories.
John can use this phone using hearing aids as well.
One problem he has is answering the phone, he gets the options answer call or
decline call, but if he does not enter correctly on the right option, it will
not answer correctly.
Vera said that he must go to phones in his settings, and look for Full
screen.
Full screen allows a person to tap on the screen anywhere for the option
to answer call.
Martin told all of us about his exciting day at the races in the Curragh.
He was a little coy about telling us of his winnings!
That’s all Folks.
