Cearbhall as the host , could not understand even though Bluetooth was on
that the Zoom app showed Noreen in the waiting room, while she was actually
at the meeting.
Stuart came onboard as the co host and did a great job admitting everybody.
Mary reminded us that only people that are fully paid up members of
Fighting Blindness are allowed to vote at the AGM early next month.
Some directors are up for re election as are Mary and the chairman.
Mary kicked off her campaign for re election with the slogan to Cearbhall,
One needs to diversify
Most people including yours truly thought that the Zoom meeting last
Saturday was very good,
Paul highlighting the speech and contribution of Brendan Ward as brilliant.
Vera complained that there was no agenda for the zoom meeting on Saturday
and perhaps this could be noted before the next such event.
Martin wanted to know if there is a simple way to go to the e mail address
of a particular person contained on a mail sent out to 50 or more people.
Eamonn said that using insert key ( Jaws key) plus F5 would bring up the
various links contained in the e mail.
To get the address, Cearbhall said to shift tab to the search box, and
select search e mails and type the persons name , might do the trick.
Paul suggested for those using G mail, one can go to www.gmail.ie
<http://www.gmail.ie> ,
And enter the search box with the persons name , you want to find out the e
mail address for, and this would work for Gmail users.
Mary had a problem, when creating a document, she wanted to copy some text
and paste into an e mail.
She used shift plus down arrow to highlight the text, but it did not copy
all the text she wanted.
She got her sighted husband to finish the job for her.
Paul told Mary that using control plus letter A, is a better way and would
copy all she required.
Mary could not find the document she created, she is using windows 10.
Sometimes if one does not use save as, the document will only have the
title Doc 1 or 2.
Sometimes if not saved properly it could be saved in Bing instead of my
documents.
Martin and Mary told us of the great time at Dublin Castle ghost story
event last Monday, it sound very good and interesting.
Clare told us of the anniversary celebrations taking part next month for 90
years of the NCBI.
It takes part in Wynns hotel in middle abbey street.
