Welcome back to everybody, and a very happy new year from your minute taker.
Albert shared a little gem, that Voice Dream Reader now uses column
identification.
This should vbe great for anyone who reads the papers online.
Mary who is going to Tenerife on Thursday shared her knowledge of storing the
Booster information on her Covit app.
One should get an e mail with information on the date and the fact that you
have received the booster jab.
Go to your covit app, and arrow down to the end, where the information on
your first two jabs appear,
And your asked to delete this entry.
Then hold the camera over the new document and the new information will
appear showing that you have received 3 jabs now.
Mary who had problems with her camera using Zoom, with Jaws 22 version, had
complained to Sight and Sound that her camera would not work after the
purchase of Jaws 22.
She had technical support from the UK team in Sight and Sound.
But after uninstalling Jaws 22 and Reinstalling the software , the camera
would still not work.
She then asked her very technical sister who took the laptop back to
Wexford, and finally got the camera working.
She uninstalled Zoom and the latest version of Jaws but this did not resolve
the problem
Then she uninstalled the latest version of Jaws and instead installed Jaws
18, and low and behold the camera worked.
She did this also with Jaws 20 and 21 versions and the camera worked again.
Mary will continue to contact the agents for Jaws to see why it will not
work on her laptop, using Jaws 22.
Mary who likes to cook, had a problem in copying a recipe from Nigella
Lawson bbc programme.
She got an e mail with a link to a recipe on TIRANISU (Acoholic version)
But after highlighting the text by shift down arrow and the insert key,
Then control +c to copy and control +v to paste , nothing appeared.
Most people like Clare said that these recipes like Nigella’s and Jamie
Oliver are probably right protected..
Bert/ Paul suggested that Mary in future should open the e mail,
Then using control +letter a to highlight the text control +letter c to copy
and Control +letter v to paste in the recipe.
She should open note book and paste in her text here and delete any other
unnecessary information from the e mail as well.
Clare also sent her new Apple Watch back to Apple who found a fault in the
watch and replaced it (cost around 600€
Well done Clare , the faulty watch prevented her from using her Iphone .
Clare also shared a frightening story about a visit to a WC at Limerick
station.
She was using the disability WC, BUT when she was coming out, she could
not open the door.
Using BE MY EYES, the help agent could not see why the door would not open.
Finally after about 10 minutes the man who let her in , reappeared and saw
the problem,
There was chewing gum preventing the latch from opening.
Tom wondered why he can have only one device using Bluetooth at any one
time.
Cearbhall said that one can have 5 devices using Bluetooth at anytime.
The problem for Tom is that his headset can only handle one device with
Bluetooth at a time.
But is he was using a desktop or a laptop he could have up to 5 devices
using Bluetooth at one time.
Christmas gifts included a Fit Bit charge 5 for Stuart, who is delighted
with his gift.
Using the Fitbit charge 5 app, Stuart can monitor his bloods steps calories
and so on. With voice over.
Better stay away from Mary’s alcoholic TIRAMISU!
That’s all folks
Paul
