Todays meeting wish to offer their condolences to Ken Walsh our colleague in
Cork on the death of his Father.

Weather has got a lot warmer, just in time for Christmas.
A very happy Christmas to all our Monday members and a very happy new year.
There were 9 participants for the last meeting of the year.
Our next meeting will be on Monday January 9th 2023.
Decllan joined the meeting for a brief announcement.
He is no longer taking up the position that he was to go to, , but is
taking up a new role with Fighting Blindess in the Advocy unit.
Good luck to Declan with his new position.
John told us of his new discovery in using Windows 11. He says that he can
use something called Voice Control, to activate the mouse on his Desktop.
Move mouse to the left AND CLICK SOME FILE OR ANOTHER.
He can do this in combination with Cortana. John has some sight so the fact
that he can use his voice to move around the screen is good, but those of
us that use adaptive software like screen readers, may find this very
problematic, as no sound comes back to you, to tell you what has happened.
Perhaps using voice control with the built in screen reader on windows 11,
calledNarrator, could solve this problem.
The fact that John can do some command functions using his voice is a real
break through for him.
Eamonn said that people wanting to buy a new Laptop, should consider the
recommendations from Back to the Future shop in Georges street in Dublin.
They recommend Lenovo which they say is much better than H.P. or Dell.
Martin told us that there was a mention of Stuart and his Blind Tennis
achievements n Wrexham in the current edition of the Clare Champion.
Tom or Martin wanted to know how one can access their address book quickly .
Cearbhall said that pressing control shift and letter B, will open your
address book.
Tom wanted to know if there was a quick way to delete a contact.
Nobody knew, so Paul, suggested going to the contact you want to delete
and press home key to take you to the end of the contacts information to
engage the delete contact button.
Eamonn has joined a social group that talk about current affaires which is
run by the local Education Training Board.
Sounds good Eamonn thanks for sharing this with our group.
There was some talk on the various service providers and whether they can
supply generation 4 or 5 coverage.
