Hello Folks, Embracing Winter, as it's all one can do, supposed to get
somewhat warmer for the next few days.
Looking forward to attending Sightless cinema production of Blind Panic in
the Civic theatre in Tallaght next Thursday.
There were 13 enthusiastic members for today's Monday Tech meeting.
There was a good discussion inisiated by Eamonn. , He wanted to know if
anybody used Noise cancellation headsets.
Adrian does and he told us that he uses a brand named SOUNDCORE Q35.
Other brands mentioned included SENN HEISER, From Germany.
These noise cancellation headsets are very useful especially while walking
outside.
Eliminating traffic noise and so on.
Albert shared a good tip . Some people would like more time to tap on a
phone number in a link.
Good to settings, accessability Voice Over, and arrow down to a 25 second
time limit, and arrow down to incremental and double click here to
increase the time for clicking the telephone number.
Martin had problems in logging onto his computer this morning, he decided
to engage NVDA, by using control+shift+letter N. It seems that Jaws had
gone onto silent mode as it was updating.
Albert said that one should update Jaws or NVDA by going to their websites
and downloading the updates.

The best thing to use if your computer is updating is Microsoft Narrator,
this will call out the message that your PC, is updating and don't turn off
your computer.
Narrator can be turned on by using Control+ Windows key +enter key.
Note takers who were praised by all, but people wanted the thank you
messages done away it, and if people wanted to thank any notetaker, they
should do it, by mailing them only by sending a mail to their private e
mail address and not to the mailing list.
Adrian said that it was not possible to mail and individual through the
mailing list.
Eamonn likes to use HTML (Hyper text mark up language,) when using E-mails,
but it seems that this facility is being discontinued from January.
Tom, got himself a gaget (dongle) , which he puts at the back of his
television set, and now he can watch movies or other programmes at the sound
volume , that's good for him, while his wife can have the volume at the
level that suits her.
