Paul, RTE One (channel 101, Virgin Media) also has another channel called RTE
+1 (channel 107) which airs all programs an hour later. Other stations have
similar duplicates. Vera

Hi Folks, Weather is still good, long may it stay fine.
Apologies: Our guru, Cearbhall is tied up with IT problems in his home,
but should be free to join us a little later.
Into the breach steps the intrepid warrier Stuart to take a hold of
proceedings.
May I say that stuart is a dab hand at running the Zoom meetings with
quick admissions and so on.
There were 14 Participants today.
Tom held centre stage today with a number of problems.
Tom wanted to hear something regarding the Michael Collins 100 th
anniversary in West Cork.
He tuned into RTE news the online channel, but the sound was muted.
It took him an age to find the button to unmute the sound.
Vera wondered if a default button could be set to unmute the sound.
Cearbhall who came in after 12pm, said to do a four finger single tap at
the bottom of the screen, , and then swipe to the left where you see a
settings menu, and keep swiping until you hear unmute
Paul also watched but unlike Tom who uses RTE online on his smart phone,
Paul was using his television set.
And he commented that it can be behind on the news items,
As it told him that Mark English would be running in 20 minutes, but in
fact he had already finished his race and came in third, and won a bronze
medal.
Tom uses Bookshare using Easy Reader while Stuart uses Book share using
voice dream reader, and Tom wanted to know how he could use bookshare
using voice dream reader.
Stuart said that there is a link at the top of easy reader called add click
this link and click more, and you will find the link for voice dream
reader, click here and go to Book Share. . .
Albert and Jackie complained about the recent update to the Revolut card,.
Bert said he found it difficult to find the link to Freeze the card.
Jackie said go to Card, settings and swipe until you hear Snow flake, this
is where you click to Freeze the card.
Bert also was buying a battery for his Laptop, but when he went to pay with
his Revolut card the payment was rejected.
This was because the agent supplying the Dell battery was not set up to
take a Revolut payment.
Also Bert said that he used to put in a three pin number when using
Revolut, but now he is no longer aske to do this, Jackie says that this is
because Revolut know him better now.
.
Jackie told us of her use of the Navilens app.
She ordered goods online from Tesco, and she included Coco Pops cereal by
Kellogs. .
Using her Navi Lens app on her smart phone she read all the information
regarding Coco Pops.
Like the ingrediants, calories and so on.
She thinks that all Kellogs have the codes that Navi Lens can read and
intends to go to her local supermarket to try and detect these products.
Also she says that Pantene shampoo uses the same codes which can be read by
Navi Lens.
Mary is having a problem in returning a book which does not interest her,
but can't find the link to carry out the return.
One must click the link named Purchases, but Mary cannot find this link
anymore.
A discussion ensued regarding books.
Mary said that she read the new novel by Colm McCann, and it did her head
in, as there was about 1001 chapters.
Like the famous text a thousand and one Arabian nights.
Some chapters were only a couple of sentences and this was a nuisance.
Albert was using his new state of the ark Headphones.
They are After Shock open com Headphones with a stand alone mike attached at
the left hand side,
And two inbuiltmicrophones with a multiple switch on the right hand side
to accomadate the handling of telephone calls.
These headphones can accomadate two Bluetooth devices.
Tom said that his Orcam headphones can only handle one Bluetooth device.
Joe told Paul as an aside, that the head of MI6 in Britain has the code
name Michael after the legendary Michael Collins whose 100 year old
anniversary is today.
That's all Folks
Paul
