There were 14 Participants for today’s Monday Tech club.
Jackie our favourite tech guru, has a problem with her Outlook.
Everytime she goes to use Outlook, it’s always minimised. She can only read
one or two mails.
After chatting with an NCBI LAB AGENT, who told her to open Outlook, and
then use the Windows key plus the up arrow to select maximise.
She could also use the key strokes alt+spacebar plus the letter x, to
maximise.
Adrian told her and Jackie also discovered that if she opens Outlook, then
using the context menu , then go to properties, she will find the options,
normal, minimise/maximise.
If she then selects maximise, this will permantly change her E- mails to be
displayed in maximise mode.
A discussion then ensued regarding the various packages in regard to free
electricity units.
It seems that those who qualify for the household benefit packages are
entitled to around 35€ free electricity each month.

Tom wanted to know how to watch a film with audio description on his Laptop.
Ger did this with the assistance of a sighted friend, who likely clicked a
button on the RTE Player, to get it set up.
Ger did not know how his friend found the button.
A good way is to register your details on the RTE PLAYER, and then you will
have audio description on at all times.
Both Jackie and Mary have done this and this solves the problem.
Eamonn told us of his great experience using BE MY EYES with AI.
He took several photographs in his house like his mantlepiece, , and the
robot told him of the various articles that were there, also he took a
photograph of his television set, giving a very detailed description of a
man with a microphone, how he was dressed and so on..
His household furniture was described in great detail, and Eamonn was
suitably impressed.
There was a long discussion on whether AI, is allowed to inform people as
to whether a person is old, fat or thin and so on.
Mary thought that any description of a person should be that it is a man or a
woman , child boy or girl, and nothing more.
