Albert has not downloaded and installed the latest version of IOS. Yet.
He promised when he does that he would check the app Group SMS, to see if
there are any blitches or problems after the installation.
Then Paul can make up his mind whether to go ahead with the installation.
Paul uses this app all the time for his walking group, and would be lost if
anything should go wrong with the app using ios 16.
Bert said that when installing a new version one should make sure that
iCloud is turned on.
Go to settings, click your name and then go to iCloud and make sure that
it's set to back up.
Both Ken and Stuart have installed IOS 16.2.
Both said that in the main, most things had no problem.
Ken reported that the voice he uses, Moira, sounded funny and he corrected
this by powering off and powering on again his iPhone.
Stuart reported one good feature, that one can recall a message or mail
up to 15 minutes after sending. But the person you are mailing must also
have IOS 16 installed.
This could be handy if one makes a mistake in sending a mail to a person
and wishes to change something or withdraw some remarks.
There was much talk about Apple Watch, a person asked if one could wash
their hands while supporting their watch on their wrist.
Bert said yes, that when washing hands, select hand wash, and a protective
screen is loaded inside the watch and protects the features from water
contamination.
But remember as Stuart says that the watch is water resistant , and not
waterproof.
Mary wanted to cancel her subscription to www.audible <http://www.audible>
.com, but could not find where to cancel.
Ken , suggested she go to the audible.com website and cancel here, and if
this did not work, a phone call might do the trick.
Paul had trouble in cancelling his Netflix subscription, one must find some
numbers that identify the user and enter various passwords.
But Paul made a call to a call centre in the Netherlands, and was talking
to a very friendly American girl, who helped him to cancel the package
without any fuss.
Tom was complaining about his Sky box. He goes to find a station, but to
find RTE, one must scroll for an age to find it, and it's very annoying.
Paul suggested using the letter R, to fast forward , but this is not
possible.
Then Paul suggested using page up and down to find it quicker,, in the end
it was decided that a large group must send in this as a complaint, and then
Sky might take more notice of the problem.
Bert complained that his wife and himself cannot find any way of adjusting
the volume of the microphone in using Virgin 360 box, and nobody had an
answere to this problem either.
Ken bought a device to save his photos to, from Amazon sometime ago, its
called
LEE LNG. It's great he can save his photos here and by connecting to his
smart phone or pc, can view them whenever he wants.
There was more talk about the merits of Revolut, Mary and Bert are great
supporters of thiscard.
But if your password lapses and goes out of date, then your Revolut card
will not work, until your password is updated.
