One last quick one for you.
We were trying to work a date say to go away in a number of weeks but it
had to be on an even week if you like as in two, four, six weeks hence
and so on.
We picked a date and we were told six weeks which was great as we were
both available to go but on checking manually just to see if all was
correct surprisingly enough (or no) Alexa got it wrong again as it was
the alternate uneven week which did not suit us one bit.
Sorry for this being a bit garbled but you get the picture I think.
Still we all love Alexa, naughty or nice!

Well it's the penultimate winter day, as Winter officially ends tomorrow.
Of course we can get Winter weather up to April or even May.
There were 11 Participants for today's meeting.

Bert reported when using NVDA, he does not get the little music jingle
which comes on as soon as you use the keys, control,Alt and letter n.
Cearbhall demonstrated this by using those keys to start up NVDA,
and the music jingle came on to tell him that NVDA was ready to use.
Bert said that there was something written on his screen as he started
up NVDA, and perhaps this was a statement to say if he wants the music
played.
Bert wil check further to see whats happening, and report back.
Bert also said that when he receives a text message on whats app,
like a photograph with text, when ge goes to find out what the
text/photograph is all about, he has to first go through a number of his
contacts.
To fix this problem, he went to settings, siri, and stopped
suggestions from siri.
There was a lot of talk, on OKO, This is a new development by a guy
in Belgium working with the European blind union.
It's an app which tells a vision impaired person whether the lights,
are green or red, and if it's safe to cross at the traffic lights.
This app will work without an internet connection. A meeting will
commence shortly with this tech guy to investigat if it could be
used in Ireland like in the city of Cork.
This app is used already in the Benelux countries as well as in Japan.
Marian had a question , she has a new Tesco phone and when she rings
her number which is an 089 number from her landline she cannot find
out if she has any messages.
Cearbhall told her to call 171 on her phone, and this brought up the
usual options, , listen to your messages,create a new answering message and
so on.
There were also options to ring the Tesco help line for technological
questions. .
Perhaps a form of call answering needs to be set up between her
landlind and her new phone.
Cearbhall told us of his experience of joining the Vision sports group
in Shankill, to learn and get lessons in taking up the game of Blind Tennis.
Several questions were asked and answered by Stuart and Cearbhall, and
it seems like a great sport.
Well done Cearbhall. Perhaps Annette will take up the sport as well
as she used to play Tennis a number of years ago.
Bert said that a number of people were complaining that they could no
longer use the Audible app with Victor Stream.
Some big names were leading the protest now,
And we await developments.
Eamonn left his old Laptop into Back to the Future for an upgrade.
But when he got it back, he cannot locate his MY DOCUMENTS folder.
Several angles were suggested by Cearbhall, Michael and Bert, but in
the end, it was suggested that he ring the shop or go in to get the
answer as where the Documents has disappeared to,

On a lighter note , Paul asked Alexa when is Pancake Tuesday, and she
replied,
Shrove Tuesday is on Wednesday February 22nd, !!!
