Things got underway after Cearbhall had a hiccup with his keyboard.

Cearbhall said after a discussion on books, that he found Hey Siri, a
brilliant help in playing his books and pausing them.
One can enable Hey Siri, by going to settings and allowing HEY SIRI, TO be
on.
One does not have to press the button to engage HEY SIRI, .
One can interact with HEY SIRI, simply by using your voice to ask siri to
do whatever you want it to do.
Tom is still unable to use Voice Dream Reader to read his books on Bookshare.
Albert is looking into this and hopes to find out , how to get Bookshare
books to be read by voice dream reader.
Tom wanted to know how to change the voices on his phone and how to get more
voices by paying.
We learned that Albert prefers the voice of Alex, while
Mary is happy with Moira.
Albert hates the voice of Fred, which is very popular at the moment.
To change the voice on your phone, go to settings,
Then accessability voice over, then speech , where you will find a list of
all the available voices.
There is a sample of all the voices here, and one can play clips from all of
them to decide on what’s best for them.
Tom complained that when reading his books on bookshare, that the book stops,
but when he goes to continue reading, it starts a number of paragraphs back.
He thinks that when it gets to the end of a page it gets stuck and the only
way he gets to continue is to go to the next page, he does not know if he
has missed some reading or not.
Albert/Paul told him to check his time for closing the phone, is it 3 5
minutes or never, as this might have an affect on his reading.
Michael suggested that he try what he does, don’t have a close time at all,
but when finished reading simply press the power button once to close the
phone.
Then when resuming reading just press the power button once to awake the
phone.
Martin brought up talk on a fabulous restaurant in Galway.
It’s called McDonaghs and its on the quays.
Tom was surprised that Martin found it and that he was allowed in!
Martin ate some beautiful fish on a skewer and has been raving about it
since.
Tom brought up some disturbing news about his trip to Aranmore Island , which
is off the coast of Donegal.
After a friendly 15 minute ferry trip to the island he rang aroung for
accomadation for a proposed 2 day stay.
But to his horror and annoyance he was refused by nearly all the guest
houses, because he had a dog, and even a guide dog at that.
He finally got a guest house, but after staying one night and putting up with
bugs and creeping crawlees, he left, as the house was not very clean.
Mary another guide dog owner was horrorified, and promised to look into this
situation.
Talk moved on, and Mary told us that one can fly to the Aran Islands, by
plane from Inverna, just outside Salthill. .
Those of us with a travel pass can get this flight for around 10-15€, instead
of the full prise of 38€
Finally the rest of the meeting involved talk on the Revolut card for
transferring money.
Mary who has every card in the world, says that she uses Pay Pal, mostly to
transfer money .
With the Revolut card one can transfer as much as they want with their card
as long as the other person also uses Revolut. And that they have the
correct amoung of money to cover therir transaction.
You can onluy use the amoung of money that you have stored on your card.
With this card one can buy, and pay for anything by using or tapping the
card like all the other bank cards.
Albert can put money on his children’s cards and they can only spend the
amount that’s on the card.
It works rather like What’s app, in that you will be notified whether the
person you want to transfer the money is a Revolut card holder or not.
