Jackie, When she types in FB on her new Braille pen slim keyboard, it
will not convert this to fighting blindness. .
Stuart /Bert, asked her to use dot 3 and dot 6, and this has worked. Hope I
got this right.
She cannot read the manual, as it speaks in Braille, dot dash etc, and she
cannot understand Braille that well.
Cearbhall suggested using voice over help to identify those keys that she
does not know what they do:
Marian Brennan wanted to know to get the vat invoice and how to reclaim
then the vat money.
She will either buy from Apple direct or Iconnect shop.
Bert told her she needs to get a form from the NCBI,
And suggested she ring Apple, and go to the Sales deptember, by ringing

To purchase her new Ipad and she can buy /get her invoice, which she needs
to pin together with her NCBI FORM.
Many people are having trouble with using NVDA WITH MICROSOFT office
packages like EXCEL/WORD.

Cearbhall suggested in filling up some of the logs , which the tech people
will have a look at to solve the problem,
Bob has trouble in typing, NVDA will suddenly stop working , like Declan
using NVDA will hang and stop working.
It seems that the latest version of NVDA DOES NOT WORK with the latest
version of Microsoft office .
Gerry wanted to know how to create a new folder, or rather how to remove
contents from an existing foler and place into a new folder.
Bert told him to open the folder, and use control + A to highlight the
text, then use control + c , to copy and lastly control +v to paste into a
new folder.
A discussion ensued about Borrowbox, does it have a voice to read e books,
Cearbhall said that at the end of a page there was a Toggle voice on, and
this seemed to work well.
Padraigh and many people needed information on the various offers
available through Sight AND SOUNG, and Stuart lawlor is posting this
information to the FB MAILING list.
Bert explained to Eamon about the merits of the PONTIS MEDIA DOWNLOADER, FOR
downloading content from U Tube and editing the content as you would like .
Michael initiated a discussion on the upcoming accessible meters, whaich
promise to let vip people, on what is using most of their electric units.
Its in the future but hopefully coming soon.
