Tom our wild man and bird catcher from Galway , joined us from a warm 24
degrees sunny Benidorm on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante.
He told us that he has been tandem cycling with a few other people, each
with their own Pilot.
In Spain, stopping every few miles for coffee and refreshments.
This sojourn included stops for swimming and taking in the many beautiful

Tom also told us that while cycling he was listening to a local match in
Galway!!
Tom said that his phone an Iphone 12 had a bad reputation for battery use.
He said that it was particularly poor in Spain. Mary suggested that perhaps
Tom was using much more Mobile Data and this could account for the poorer
battery levels.

Joe is also a Tandem cyclist and told us that he got his Tandem bicycle from
the United States, and it was much cheaper than those prices discussed by
Tom.
Martin told us that his Markers that he created on his Soundscape app , have
disappeared.
Nobody could shed a light on how this might have happened.
Paul told Martin to download the latest version of Soundscape, to see if
they might appear again.
Martin uses in the menu, MY MARKERS, while Paul uses my location.
Martin said that he would use a different menu like my location or whats
around me, to see if his markers would be mentioned.
Paul wanted to know if anybody was using Windows 11.
Michael said that Bert was now using Windows 11. Bert said that it was
usuable from a visually impaired point of view, but somethings were
different and needed learning.
For a start it has more Graphics than Windows 10, which is of no use to the
visually impaired people.
Annette who told us of her using a new device called a Portal machine.
On investigationmore she said that no voice over or talk back facility came
with this machine.
This limited its use to our community in a big way. But one could make
phone calls with the help of an artificial voice.
Michael is considering buying a new laptop after the recent bad weather
destroyed his motherboard.
He wanted to know how one can check the memory for a new machine.
Cearbhall said that Control, Shift, then the escape keys would take you to
the Task Manager.
Then tab once or twice to find links like performance or Randem memory.
Martin told us that he bought a Mecanno set to amuse himself, and it was
just doing that!
He also told the listening multitude of a forthcoming Georgian meeting,
near Powerscourt centre on south William street.
This was of interest to Mary, who a few moments ago refused to fly out to
Tom to administer some cool cream to his hard working posterior !!
Shame on you Mary.
