Bob made a fleeting visit to introduce Owen to his Logitech Bluetooth
keyboard featuring well-spaced concave keys for easier access.
Bert and Owen explored the various features of Bob's keyboard and explored
various ways of pairing it with his IPad.
Marion was looking for a means of stopping sent emails from landing back in
her Inbox on the IPad after being sent to friends. Cearbhall and Marion
found that the "BCC" switch was active in Mail Settings. Turning this off
fixed the problem.
Marion also wanted to know how she could stop Whatsapp photo attachments
automatically coming in and using up IPad memory. It was agreed that
Whatsapp should be checked out for next week to see if there was any
suitable setting for blocking unwanted attachments. An alternative proposal
was to ask the sender to put all the images in Dropbox and circulate a link
to that Dropbox folder to Whatsapp group members so that if any member
wanted to see them they need only click on the link. Marion does not want to
see the photos so often and could therefore ignore the link until she was
ready.
Owen and bert tried to find a way of limiting the display of emails to those
for one day at a time. This led to a cdiscussion of the difference between
POP3 and IMAP email account setups.
Bert and Margaret are off on their travels soon to exotic spiritual venues
in the Med. This led to a discussion of how buildings can be appreciated
non-visually versus visually.
