Hello Folks, The weather was terrible over the weekend.
Was not able to get out for a walk yesterday.
It's also quite dark, and looks and feels mor like January or February!
However we have the Rugby world cup to keep us entertained, and so far so
good for Ireland.
There were 11 Participants for today's Tech club.
Vera kept us up to date with her survey problem.
She could not achieve anything like finding that NEXT BUTTON, but towards
the end of our meeting today,
She finally got some success through her laptop.
Using her laptop, she had no trouble in locating the offending button,
And was able to move on, only to find that the survey was very poor, and not
really worth bothering about.
It seems that an over lay was placed over the button, and with her large
magnification she could not see the Next button sayind continue.
Michael reported that he has also bought the Sense Player, as Eamonn has
done a number of weeks ago.
He purchased it from Sight and Sound.
The sense player is manufactured in South Korea by the Hims corporation.
Michael says that he uses this equipment as a stand alone device, for
listening to Radio stations, podcasts, and for listening to audio books.
Of course it needs a good WIFI connedction.
He got an invoice via an E mail, and hopes to be able to claim for the value
added tax on the Sense player.
This brought about a discussion regarding the Braille Hable 1 keyboard.
Whether if one gets a problem with Hable, should they send it back to
England/ Ireland or directly to Holland where it's manufactured.
The consensus was to sent it back in Ireland.
Adrian has sent a number of links, and I am putting them all together,
They relate to a wonderful app that he says is accessible to both Android
and Apple users.
It's called Z, and contains a large array of Ring tones, wallpaper
designs, and many more items.
Also there is a number of Links supplied by Adrian relating to our
discussion on free solar panels for the solar vulnerable

This scheme is being implemented by the SEAI in partnership with your chosen
utility, SSE Airtricity. It is completely free of charge to you, the
homeowner. We are installing solar panels and associated equipment on behalf
of SSE Airtricity. The scheme is being funded by the SEAI and the Government
of Ireland.

This sounds very exciting and definitely worth somebody from the vision
impaired community following up on.
Eamonn wanted to know how to increase his smart phone memory.
Albert told him to go to the I Cloud, and use his apple password to select
the path and link to where he can get around 50 Gigs for as little as 99
cents per month.
Vera said that most people back up everything on their smart phone in the
ICloud, but she said that this is not always necessary, as apps like the
Bank of Ireland, already have a back up on their app.
By deleting things like the back up for a BANK OF Ireland from the I Cloud
can save a load of memory and increase your storage space.
That's all folks
Thanks to Stuart in sending me those links on Zoom supplied by our tech
genius Adrian. Have a good week, everyone.
